The Grounds
Trillium Part 2
Here you can see the windows that go from floor to ceiling. Ryan was having some issues zipping his jacket.
They used rope in this photo instead of wood for slats.
A view from the top. Ryan is trying to tell me how to take the photo...
This is the bed. It was very comfy. You can see a little nook to the right, there was the cutest little window that opened over there.

It was a beautiful sunny day. I had mentioned in the previous post that when we were there it was cold, but he does rise, and when we went to bed it was so warm and comfy. The heater they had upstairs was more powerful then the one downstairs. We actually had to throw the covers off at one point. I would recommend switching the heaters.
Trillium
These stairs wrapped around the tree and took you up the tree house. There was a landing half way up with a bench that looked out over the pond.
They had these amazing old leather chairs in the quaint room. One was the brown recliner on the right with matching foot stool. Because of the way the back was positioned you had no choice but to lounge. It was accompanied by two olive green chairs with no arms.
Valentine's Day Celebration
Ryan and I exploring the grounds. There were so many trails to follow.
They made several of these nets around the area that you could climb into. One was up high in a tree and you had to climb a knotted rope to get to it.

This tree houses was up very high to view the entire grounds and the river.
This is our tree house, Trillium. Behind it you can see the school where the hold workshops and host events. The shared bathroom is right behind it.
This is the Temple of Blue Moon- it books out the most.

For the actual day of Valentine's we stayed in, I made empanadas and we watched Lost. It was a really nice way to celebrate.
BUT...
That wasn't going to be it. I came across some extra money from work and decided the best use for it would be on Ryan and I myself. A year ago Monica had told me about these tree houses you could book. What made me remember it again I don't know, but luckily I did.
We booked the "Trillium", on low season it was $172 or so. Breakfast is served in the morning continental style. A wonderful woman made the food, which was so good, she chatted with us and told us so much about the grounds and Pete Nelson who created all of it.
This is going to be several posts as it was so amazing.

While Ryan Was Out
While Ryan was in Idaho I was able to catch up on a "me" weekend.
Saturday morning Monica and I went out to West Seattle. I met up with the amazing Christina Darragh at her new Aveda Salon, Eco Salon. It was awesome, she is awesome, my hair is awesome, THE END!
Grabbed Monica, did some antiquing, went to Luna Cafe and had some nummy grub and to die for milkshakes. We then went on the hunt for a fabric shop in upper Queen Anne. It had some exquisite fabric and we were both very happy. Went back to Monica's and chatted.
Then I went home and watched some cheesy teen movies on instant flix. Met up with the Winnie-Frasers in Columbia City- featured above. I had such a great time, they really are a fun pair. We were at this bar for 4 hours just talking!
Next day I headed out to Bainbridge to catch up with Meredith. She gave me a tour of the island, I was in love.

Wasting Away in Torrero-ville!
Well, I had to get smarter than the computer to get these photos uploaded, but I succeeded. Woot!
Last night we went to Torrero for dinner. We split the fajitas, which are to die for, and each had an adult beverage. Ry had Dos Equis and I had a Mangorita. It was a really nice evening. We mainly talked about all the forts we had built as children.
Before dinner we stopped at the Fredmeyers which is in the same parking lot and bought Ry a pair of classic chucks, he looks so cute in them.
After dinner we went to Blockbuster, also same parking lot, and browsed movies for purchase. We did the 2 for $20- Inception and Knight and Day. We watched the latter last night and I really enjoyed it. I loved Cameron Diaz, correction I love Cameron Diaz. She is so cute and funny and I just really enjoy her. The only thing I didn't get was the title- I understand the Knight part, but where does the Day part come into play. Dang you Tom Cruise and your confounded intellect!
Which Way Will the Day Go?
Well, it's 7:12 a.m. and I am still waiting to see which way my day is going to go. Instead of telling a colorful story I am just going to list out the major "events" of the morning thus far.
1) Sleep in as long as possible because of exhaustion
2) Now running late, skip shower and plan to wash and lotion after gym in locker room
3) Minor tummy ache, maybe I am just thirsty
4) Get to work, it's 6:20, need a pass to get in the building- realize pass is in car with hubby
5) Call hubby's phone several times, straight to voicemail, must have died, surprise surprise
6) Walk around to front of building and get there at the same time as a woman, I now can enter building
7) Woman works on same floor as me, I can now get up to my floor
8) In restroom putting on make up- skin is to dry, especially under eyes and make up looks disgusting
9) Scrub under eyes with paper towel, eyes now puffy and red and sore
10) Eye make up goes on better now
11) Go to put on blush and realize applicator brush is at home, have to use crappy brush supplied by manufacturer that makes blush go on uneven
12) Smudge mascara all over face- haven't done this one in a really long time
13) Pull hair into side braid, half of hair is hanging out, look unkempt
14) Door to office is unlocked and I am able to get into the office
15) Breakfast is still frozen because I wasn't planning on eating it for a whole hour
16) Found really cute present from co-worker on chair. Chipmunk meant to be a ground hog that makes funny noises
17) Computer won't recognize card reader to upload pictures from last night- Been trying for the last 45 minutes to get it to work
As you can see, the morning has been a mix of highs and lows.

Be warned, when you view this video you will be forever altered by my awesomeness factor. You will never view me again in the same way. You will probably see a glow gently hugging my body. You will hear angels singing when I enter the room. Chuck Norris will be chump change next to me. Jean Claude Van Dam is my bitch! Etc...
