Leavenworth Part 1
We were finally able to fulfill our Christmas Gift to Dad & Kathy from 2 years ago. We met them up in Leavenworth a few weekends ago, despite both of us being under the weather. It was Oktoberfest and so trying to find a hotel was beyond difficult. Everything was booked, and Wenatchee was just a little too far. B&B's made it hard as they were pricey and there were not always 2 rooms to book. I had finally stumbled across a gem 15 miles out of town called the 59er Diner. It was a diner in the front and little Bungalow's in the back. For only $90 a night you got a bungalow that had a large living room, a dinette, a small restroom and decent bedroom. It was a great find and very clean.
We went into town to find it very crowded, but oh so fun. We took an Olde Tyme Photo and the guys had a lot of beer. We looked in shops and walked a lot. We went down to the park and walked along the river, that was very enjoyable indeed. Then we went out to a very nice dinner and then took a nice drive. We went out to this beautiful lake at sunset, it was perfect. Then retired to our bungalow where we all watched the Net, after going to the diner for dessert.
It was a wonderful weekend indeed!
Baby Shower Part 2
The middle photo is a nice group family shot. So rare do we get these anymore, especiall one of all of us girls.
The party was so much fun, mother did an amazing job. She served dirty pickles, home made tiramisu, brownies, and almond cookies. We played several games with prizes, as you can see above. And the decorations were exisquite. She outdid herself.
Brandi made out like a bandit with a car load of gifts. It was so great to see her so happy. Nathan got her a bib that read "My Uncle is HOT! and Single". I mentioned that the only thing missing was his number.
After the party goers went back to their homes the remainder of us went out to Pizza at Flying Pie. The group included, Mom & John, Me & Ryan, Tamera and Craig, Brandi, John & Brad, Sonny, Kristin & Michaela. It was soooo fun!

Idaho Trip
Ok, I will have pictures to follow, but not immediately, SOOO I will write the post to go with it. Ah, where to begin...
Idaho- We went to Idaho about 2 weekends ago, Columbus Day Weekend. We flew in at 9:30 at which time my mother picked us up, dropped off our luggage at the house and headed downtown to meet Phil, Annie, Mac Family, and friends as it was Bri's (Annie's BFF) birthday. Mom dropped us off and we parted ways. On the plane Ry and I were mentioning how we didn't know how long we would last as we were very tired and not 21 anymore. But amazingly we got there at 10 and next thing I knew it was midnight, and then 1 and then 2:42 and then 4 and then 5!!!
At the first bar we ran into some people from highschool, the Lynch Brothers, and it was really nice. We chatted a short time, got caught up, and parted ways. They seem to be doing well. At the last bar I ran into my buddy Brecca, which was awesome! I didn't have time to see her while I was in town, which was such a bummer, and couldn't invite her a long because it wasn't my shin-dig, so I was hoping against all odds that she might be out and we would run into each other. Every bar I looked for her but couldn't find her. By the last bar I gave up, and that is when she found me. She came screaming out the front porch and onto the patio where I had been hanging out. It was amazing. So we crammed a few months into less than an hour and it was wonderful! She had to go and at this point it was Ry, Phil and I. We were hanging around a streeet vendor stuffing processed meat down our throat (THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID!) when we ran into Ry's friend Dan! So we all walked back to his apartment and hung out for an hour catching up. Then we walked from the downtown Winco to my brothers duplex on the other side of campus. It took just under an hour, several trees were demolished in the process and I ruined my ballet flats. We saw Phil and Annie's place, and it was soooo nice. Decorated cute, very clean, and just a great place all around. We called a cab, got to mom's, went to bed about 5:30 and got up around 8:30 the next morning. :)
I dropped Ry off with his fam and watched my brother practice for the Scottish games for about an hour. That is a lot of throwing! He was awesome, I was truly impressed and proud. Then I headed out to Nampa to catch up with Rhea and her family. Her babies, Kahlan and Kara/Cara are so adorable! Kahlan made me laugh so hard I had tears rolling down my cheeks.
Then off to Kuna for Grandpa Dick's 90th B-Day Bash!
Next day Mom and I prepared for Brandi's baby shower. Tamera came over and helped. The whole thing went off with a smash, and Brandi made out like a bandit. The games were great, and mom made some amazing food. Mom put the whole thing together and did such a great job. Afterwards, the fam went to Flying Pie for pizza and beers, it was so fun. Here is who all went: Me, Ry, Tamera, Craig, Mom, John, Kristin, Michaela, Sunny, Brandi, Brad, and John. It was so fun. Then we called it good night and Kristin came and hung out till pretty late, which made me feel really good, it was nice to catch up with her.

How to paint the dormer's
My husband is so clever, here is our IFE moment. I needed to be on the roof with Ryan to help him paint the dormers. We have an extremely steep roof and I am extremely clumsy, talk about a bad combination. Ryan took into account all of these factors and decided it was in the best interest of the Brown family to tie me off to the chimney. He pulled out his old harness and attached the rope to the chimney, I was then safe to walk around the roof and assist as best I could. It's a good thing Ryan had thought this up because as I was painting the windows I lost footing and rolled down the roof. I grabbed the rope to stop me from sliding any farther and was able to get secure footing, less than a foot from the edge. I didn't have enough slack to go completely over but the possibility was there to get into an uncomfortable spot. Meanwhile, Ryan is busy sanding away, oblivious to the ordeal I had just experienced. Lesson Learned: Take in to account the possible dangers and the people you are working with and adjust accordingly.
