House Updates

Well, as I said from the last post, our house was appraised last week. No, still don't have the results yet, but yes, I do have photos to show.

 My Wall Gremlin as I like to call it. My mom got this for me back in the day.

 I am caring on the family tradition and just put up the beginning of our "Wall of Shame" To the left of the mirror will go our giant wedding photo, but I still need to get it matted and glass for the frame.

 I thought this new vanity arrangement looked pretty good. The book are mainly made up of classic plays and literature.

Funny Story

My boss told me this story on Monday and I about lost it! she was at the dog park with her black lab Jake. Who, like some dogs, isn't crazy about other dogs. Luckily, he has recently found the joys of playing with tennis balls. This is great for my boss because she can now distract him from going crazy on other dogs.
While at the dog park a German Shepherd mounted Jake from behind and tried to plant his seed. Jake, naturally, wheeled around and started ferociously barking at the other dog. The dog owner then yelled at Christyn,
D.O.: Hey! Control your dog!
Christyn: Control you dog! He mounted my dog first!
D.O.: Well... He didn't have to react that way.
Christyn: He's a dog...

Then Christyn proceeded to tell me this is what she wished she would have said. Now hold on, before I tell you what she wanted to say let me give you some background. Christyn is 5'10. Her husband is at least 6'6, muscular, and very tan. Christyn wanted to say, "Why don't I have my husband mount you from behind and see how you react!"

She is pretty awesome.

Getting an appraisal today to try and lower our mortgage. I'll post update soon along with some photos.
Can I just say though, wow! Having a clean house is an amazing feeling. Through out the week clutter builds around the house and every weekend I pick it back up. Unfortunately, though, with all the remodeling and decluttering I rarely get to dust. It makes all the difference! Also, just painting things, hanging mirrors, and putting switch plates on really make a difference too! it's the little things really.
