The Sounds Concert

Ummm....yeah...it was freakin' BITCHIN! The show started off with the Limousines, which was my favorite for the openers. They were really great and we bought a cd from them after the show. Next was Funeral Party. I was pretty stoked when I found this out because in their place should have been Natalia Kills. Their songs were good, but it was hard to enjoy them because their entire sound was way too loud. Next was Kids in the Park which were really just two DJ's, but they were pretty good. We got their cd for free along with a poster from one of the DJ's wife. She was so cute! She was trying to raise money so that her and Maja could go get a tattoo together in Canada. I also met one of the tech guys and he was pretty hilarious. The Sounds nicknamed him "Swiss" because he thought they were from Switzerland. So they all pitched him and bought him a tattoo. On his ankle he got the Swedish flag with Swiss written on it.

Lastly was the Sounds. They were truly amazing. Maja was like this unstoppable force of energy. She would kiss her biceps, try and fight her mike, use magic moves to make guitars play, and twirl her mike like a weapon. The music was sensational. I was bummed out though because I didn't get to hear my song "Hold On". I thought for sure it would be an encore song, but it wasn't. On the plus side, the Sounds stayed at our hotel, but we didn't see them... but whatever! We had dinner at the District Lounge. But mac n cheese was out of this world and Ry's burger was pretty lush. It was a super good night to say the least.
